Numbed Tooth North Downtown Seattle Dental WA 98101
When your teeth start to get numb, this can be scary because it will make you think that something is wrong. There are reasons for numb teeth.

Some of them are worse than others, and some are no big deal and nothing that we cannot fix here if you see us as soon as the numbness starts. Here are some reasons for a numb tooth and what you can do to help the problem caused by it.

Impacted Tooth

An impacted tooth is one that is stuck under the gums and does not come up from under them. Having an impacted tooth can cause numbness of it. If this happens to you, contact us right away, and we will do everything we can to help you.

Abscess of the Tooth

Although an abscessed tooth causes pain, it can also cause it to feel numb. Abscess teeth can also become infected. Because of this, you will need to see us immediately so we can do something about this for you. The reason you need to see us right away is that this type of dental problem can cause it to fill up with pus, which is an infection. Either trauma can cause an abscess of the tooth, or even the tooth can decay.

Cavities

Having cavities can cause some problems with your teeth but one main problem is that it can either cause a lot of pain, especially when eating something you are not supposed to, or it can go completely numb. Getting the cavities filled is a good idea to contact us right away!

Trauma of the Mouth

The injury of the mouth could be many things. Maybe someone punched you in the face if you got into a fight or maybe you fell and hit your mouth on the hard ground. Whatever the case is for you, it will need to be fixed before it does go numb.

Contact us right away if you experience any of these problems with your mouth, tooth, or gums so we can do what needs to be done to help ease the pain or numbness for you. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please call us at (206) 623-7783 today.
